At first glance, this recently refurbished, enlarged villa appeared as a quality work given the choice of the materials used. The previous owners had, however, overlooked the most important factor: the old roof made of mechanical tiles leaked and water had seeped all the way into the master bedroom; planters had been added to the facade without any kind of water-proofing and rain water kept flowing into the sewer system… Substantial work was needed to address these issues, such as retiling the roof and creating retention basins for rain water…. Yet, the work done is invisible because it has barely changed the face of this elegant villa which overlooks the white sails over the Mediterranean Sea.e
