Saint-Martin-Vesubie
When the Syndicat Mixte Développement Vallée Vésubie et du Valdeblore launched its competition, it was a child’s dream to build two perched cabins on the breathtaking site of the Boréon. To fit in among the trees, it was necessary to design a compact volume and to try to standardize the wooden construction as much as possible since only the assembly was to take place on-site. The deliberate choice to use circular stilts was to free up the view underneath the cabins and blend them into the tree trunks.
